avocado & mango smoothie

Happy Thursday, the weekend is almost here! Thought it'd be nice to share with you all my favorite smoothie recipe today. It's sweet, nutritious, and a very simple and easy breakfast to start your day with.

The main ingredient in this smoothie is avocado, which is my thickening agent thanks to its denseness and creaminess. I know bananas are usually used to thicken smoothies, but I developed this weird banana allergy a few years ago and have been steering clear of them ever since.

You'll need:

1 avocado
1/2 bag of Trader Joe's Frozen Mango Chunks
1 cup of Trader Joe's Matcha Almond Beverage
A squeeze of honey

And a handful of frozen blueberries to add as a pretty topping at the end. Yes, I am one of those Trader Joe's fanatics. Maybe I'll make a post about my favorite TJ's goodies sometime in the future!

Throw it all in and blend until supah silky smooth like above!

"Then he led me back to the bank of the river. When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river. He said to me, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing."
